The Nature of Sin

Last night God and I were talking about the sin nature. The sin nature is what is the very essence of our soul. Our soul is also composed of other things such as our mind, emotions, flesh and will. As God said to me the will is more powerful in fighting against Him then any earthly spirits or powers of the air. Trust me, I know. Lets just say we are stubborn people. So I began to ask God about the sin nature and what it was and how we received it. I can tell you that I was not a receptive camper last night when I heard there is a difference in the sin natures between men and women. I could not understand it and was thinking I needed to back off. But the explanations continued. When Adam and Eve sinned it was not Eve's sin which was the real world changer. It was Adams sin because He knew what he was doing. I don't understand that part fully. But as they were kicked out of the garden they were each given a curse. But what many don't understand is there was also a promise given to the woman. That she would always be at war and hated by the serpent, or Satan. That part still needs clarification to me but God explained the benefit of what He did that day. He set the role for the coming of Christ. Without Christ man would be forever cursed. All these things are simple Christian theology so far.

But it starts getting a little wild here. If our soul very essence is that of sin how do we inherit it? Through the blood at least for men. It seems that men carry the curse in 'their seed' . Each seed has the potential, when joined with a woman, to produce a child. If that child is male the bloodline is passed on through the seed he will carry. But with women it is different. They do not carry the corrupted bloodline until they are with men and they become corrupted by the seed of men. That is one of the reasons why their pain in childbirth is multiplied from what it would have been in the garden of Eden. That is when they take on the physical side of the corruption and sin. So is this Biblical. That is always my first priority in anything so God pointed out Mary the mother of Jesus. How she had not been with men and was a virgin. And thus she had not been corrupted by the bloodline of sin. She was thus able to bear a son who was able to be born without the sin nature but in other ways totally human. Now theologians might disagree with this but I believe the reason the Bible says he was tempted as we were but remained innocent is because he was able to recognize sin and not do it.

So how then do women, if they are different, obtain the sin nature? By spiritual transference from their mothers just as the bloodline is passed down to men so they are born with the sin nature. So men carry not only the physical side of the curse but the spiritual side. Women carry the spiritual sin nature just as men but do not become corrupted and bear that pain until they give birth.

Going back to Christ remember. If his father had been from earth then the curse in the seed that the father carried would have transferred to Him and that is he would have obtained not only the curse but his sin nature for it is transferred from male to male and female to female. And since the female cannot transfer the sin nature to a male she could not give that nature to Christ. Instead it was the seed of the Holy Spirit so what was carried in her womb could be and was the very son of God who was holy, blameless and yet was born of woman. That provided the door to destroy the serpent, Satan, and provide a blood payment for the curse that was carried in Men's seed. Now we know that the curse is still with us today but what Christ did is He provided a spiritual way to overcome the serpent and power to overcome our sin nature. The destruction of the sin nature will not come until we die or until Christ comes to have corruption put on incorruption. A new body, a new soul free of the nature of sin and eternal face to face communion with the Spirit of God.
