Personal Narrations

One can read the Bible with two minds. First is the ones who think of Christ as a pacifist who never harmed anyone. Such a Christ is pure love, never judgmental, never harsh, never harms another. There are churches today who show us this model of Christ and teach us that this is the way we should be as well. So we leave aside things like the times that Christ argued with the Pharisees and Saducees, rebuked Peter, overturned the money tables and beat people with a whip. We also forget the scripture

ISAIAH 61

1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [them that are] bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

It is a wonderful scripture which Christ quoted about himself but he left out the day of vengeance of our God. (See Luke Chapter 4)

Why did he do this? The answer is clear that when Christ came this was not the time for vengeance but a time to show the love of God, the perfect love of God through His son Christ. But we forget that Christ is representative of God and there is always a time for a mercy and a time for judgment. When that time of mercy is past then judgment begins. Just because we have the new testament promises does not mean these judgments will not fall upon all of mankind. In fact if you study the rate that sin is returning to the churches there must be judgments for God to be who He is.

Christ will not present a dirty, filthy church to the father. Grace is not meant to be prostituted or treated as a walking mat. She is meant to be treated with respect and love but the church has not taught this. Purity of life can only come by being sanctified by the Holy Spirit. It is a process that can come overnight but is not meant to leave us in darkness nor in sin. The very fact that people, Christians especially, still commit sins indicates that they are under the law of this world and suceptible to the judgments of God.

Do I see men repenting because of this great earthquake and tsunami? Some perhaps but the majority continue on their path living their lives by their standards. When they proclaim they are speaking for Christ they fool themselves and will be judged that much harsher when the penalties fall.

Now I mentioned sins can be forgiven in a night and this is true but Christians are not meant to return to their sins. When such a person continues to abide in sin God may still love them and they may still love God but something happens to their lives that is not easy to explain in just a few simple words. The best way to put it though is that the flesh must be put to death. As long as the flesh(dead works) is alive and well our relationship with Christ cannot grow.

People talk often about the love of Christ but they leave out the purity of Christ. The fact is Christ did not sin and he was the perfect example for us on how to live our lives. If we sin then we do not abide by the wishes of the father we thereby prove that our works are of this world. And as such they are works of Satan and not of the father. We show our friendship by doing the will of the father and striving to chose, with His help, to do right. Our own works our fruitless unless we walk in that purity which God desires for us. In fact until we are purified the majority of the works or fruits we produce taste like ash and are quickly burned up when our faith is tested

So few will ever achieve any fruit at all because they do not understand this.

Judgment is coming and that judgment will be severe simply because so few understand where true power lies. Not in ourselves and not in our efforts but from the father who grants us these things. Most people will never understand fully what I just wrote and will pass over their heads.

I do mean to come across as arrogant or head strong. I desire all to know the truth because only then can they be free of the curse of this world. There is only one who can free us and that is by the blood and through the blood of Christ. Let us prepare ourselves and seek Him for only then can we hope to develop that friendship with Christ and that relationship which will have Him say on that day, "Well done thou good and faithful servant."
