A God who loves

Imagine a world called Earth separated from the rest of the universe by a great wall. Most of us don't stop and think about sin too often nor realize the consequences of it. For if Sin is as devastating to heaven as it was through Lucifer the rebeller then there is this wall God would have placed that would separate us from the rest of the universe. A wall that could not be breached by any creature living or not. And then he would make sure that the walls that keep sin in would not be removable

I've thought about sin and its ramifications for man. We know that sin is something all of us share and it is something from which all of creation groans. Yet if all of creation is groaning then there must be something about that groaning which is similar to the groanings of the Holy Spirit which cannot be uttered. For I understand that with God is a great love which is beyond our comprehension. God doesn't just sit above and watch all this misery caused by sin but he sets a pace towards helping mankind escape that which is coming. When I speak of it we know the scripture speaks of the elements burning.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Lets analyze this scripture shall we because I believe it is perhaps one of the most important ones in the Bible for our times. One which few if any have given credence to and one which speaks of things we have given little time or attention to.

First we speak of the day of the Lord. The day of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and from Wisdom we grow into knowledge. There is little doubt the Lord is speaking of the question of time here. We know in the beginning there were six days from which God made the creation but the day of the Lord is His day. The day when He rested. So if 'six' days have come in the last six thousand years then the 'day' of the Lord refers to a Sabbath which is coming to earth. Earth has been suffering and we have been suffering as well.

This day for God is a 1,000 years for mankind. This 1,000 years seems to be a time of burning up old works and possibly remaking of a new 'earth' whether in a different realm or in our realm.

We also know from scripture this Sabbath is meant to be a time of peace and according to the 'rod of iron' an enforced peace in some cases.

I have this theory, if you will, that there are ways for God to 'make' things if we add in the factor of time. If God exists in a place where time does not control His destiny then time must be part of the the curse upon mankind. In scripture we read that Time shall be no more. If Time is going to cease, as least as we know it, then there is something in Time that is part of the curse. That something would be death. Death is one of those things we know little about. It is a type of 'sleeping' and it is a type of lying down and reawakening in a new type of body. One you might call spiritual, at least in comparison to our natural bodies. This day of the Lord would come for a number of reasons. Scripture indicates that day comes or begins with some 'impossible' situations. Now when we look at impossible with the Lord we don't find scriptures that seem uplifting. Not only is this time coming quickly but he will be adding the Universe as we know it to a cataclysmic end. There are scriptures which speak of everything ongoing so then there are few who have really looked at Peter's writings and explained them. In fact we read that everything, including the earth will be burned up.

So lets begin with a theory because we have other scriptures that seem to indicate that the earth will continue and other scriptures which speak of things going on. We are left with a conclusion or a scramble. The conclusion is God will destroy everything on His Sabbath Day though one might call it a Sabbath where the law will be done away with or a Sabbath where Death will be done away with. We know death will be no more and if 1,000 years is the Sabbath day then coming as a thief means quickly. So how can there be so many impossible things?

To answer this I believe we have to go back to the question of time. In a dream the Lord gave me He showed me an auditorium in Israel. There men gathered together with those they had parted their land with. The Palestinians. It was a time of peace and many had gathered for the celebration. But the Palestinians rose up and took everyone hostage and it seemed as if they would end everything but then something unimaginable happened. An image appeared before all it it showed the violent history of Mohammed and his people. Then beginning in the 1300's the violence of the Muslim people was erased leaving only 'peaceful' foundations. Nothing else remained. This eraser moved forward into time and into the future until all the men that held weapons were erased in fire and in time.

If this dream refers to this 'day of the Lord' then we are speaking of God who will do what many will consider impossible. He will literally erase, with a fervent fire, the evil that has inflicted this world. How God will do it I do not know but I know scripture speaks of sin as works of hay, wood and stubble. These works will be burned in the last days. So somehow those things which held sin or was part of sin in any way will be turned not just to ashes but literally erased from time and times passage until even death/time is no more. When these things come to pass we who are alive and remain will be caught up to be with the Lord. It may be a strange time at first adjusting to some of it but I suspect most of us will feel like we are 'going home'. And I do wonder if this catching up to be with the Lord will be a catching up to a new earth or a new heaven. Even scripture speaks of this.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

So those who love sin and have chosen to remain in sin scripture tells us of a lake of fire. Perhaps the 'lake' will be fed by the old oceans or ocean that were part of the old earth. We have polluted it often enough I would not be surprised to see it so.
