Dream Narrations

Joel Akin

I'm lying down in a hammock between two large trees. It is a beautiful day and the sun is shining with no hint of clouds. Around me is a tall fence and I am sitting in the back yard of my parents house. Suddenly I heard a rumble of thunder and God says to me, "It's time."

I arise and make my way through the back porch, across the hardwood floors to the front of the house where my parents are sitting.(my parents presently live in a mobile home but are dreaming of buying a home) "It's time to go." I can see the look of skepticism on my dads face but they arise and prepare to go.

The next scene is aboard a large bus. I'm standing in the aisle. To my right on the floor and packed in seats is a large number of young children. Around me are crowded seats and aisles. Behind me my sister, mother and father crowd into a bus seat meant for two. Further behind them are more people everyone looking scared.

The wind begins picking up and the sky takes on a dark hue. The driver begins picking up speed. Seconds after we leave the city a tornado drops from the sky and demolishes the top floor of a two story house. We are now on a country road and traffic is almost non-existent.

Around us are cattle grazing, pastures and barb wire fences. Out of the sky tornado's begin to drop around us on all sides. The people around me are strangely silent. My sister makes a joke which no one laughs at. I think in my heart, "My sis, the eternal optimist." (my sister presently lives in California but plans on moving here in 1998)I begin to count the tornado's as they drop, "One, two, three, four, five, six...," I count out loud.

Abruptly, out of the sky drops three twisters dancing with each other. It reminds me of the twisters from the movie TWISTER except these are black and menacing. We are heading down a valley road, heading towards the distant Rocky mountains and what appears our certain death. I want to yell a warning to the driver to slow down and let the tornado's pass but instead he pours on the gas and heads directly for the tornado's. As he does so one drops out of the sky directly onto our bus but the extra speed pulls us to safety and the three tornado's move off the road seconds before we arrive. I awake as we are heading up the valley hill and I cannot see what is on the other side.

The will of the tornado is still the will of God. The will of man is the like of the twister for it fills the air with spin. Man goes to the boy and fills him with pain and God fills them with dust. They take the dust and they fill the air with fill of lies and it fills the air with more and more spin until they are lost.

The problem of the fish is the problem of the spin and the spin is the loss of fight and fight is the loss of time.

Thus I find my future filled with darkness and yet if all goes well it will change. God will remove the curse on that line of time and move me into a world where the whirled of whirls will shape my destiny and that is the whirl of prayer.

When the sea rises up to take on traipse it will bend men into prayer for they will see it as the end of a world and they will pray because it will send some of the land deep beneath the sea and it will be recorded and will be wild and very wild to the point of life seeing it and wanting it to the point of life going down into the sea of life.
